Tell us about Glen Canyon Conservancy.
Glen Canyon Conservancy partners with public lands in northern Arizona and southern Utah to create learning opportunities, enhance visitor experience, and inspire stewardship. Founded in 1986 as Glen Canyon Natural History Association, GCC offers educational programming, products, and services to help visitors find a lasting connection with their public lands. Our organization utilizes member support and retail proceeds at 10 locations throughout the region to generate funds that support educational, safety, outreach, and research programs. GCC cultivates stewardship through a growing network of philanthropic partners. Our mission and your support ensure that Powell country remains wild, beautiful, and inspiring for generations to come.
GCC supports public lands Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Lake Powell, Rainbow Bridge National Monument, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.
For what specific business challenges did you choose Retail Pro?
We were looking for something both efficient and elegant, our previous systems did not offer either. Retail Pro Prism checks all the boxes with both features and looks.
Retail Pro is the industry standard for Retail within the Public Lands. Retail Pro Prism allows us to be unified partners in planning and training.
What role does your Retail Pro play in your customer engagement strategy?
The Donation Round up Plugin is a great example. We will be able to leverage this feature and others to benefit our Public Land Partners.
What does the future look like for your company?
We currently have 8 stores. Our first short term plan is a return to 100% of our pre-Covid business and services, and then the expansion of 2 additional stores. Long term, we plan on adding additional privately owned businesses to our organization.
