HARDWARE CERTIFICATION REQUEST

The Retail Pro® hardware certification program provides a mechanism for retail industry hardware manufacturers to ensure that their products are able to properly operate as intended with various Retail Pro® products. Further, this certification gives our resellers the confidence to recommend these products to our customers, knowing that Retail Pro International, LLC. (RPI) will support the operation of these products as they were certified.

Products are certified for specific versions of both the product being certified as well as the generation of Retail Pro®. The specific versions under which the products are certified will be listed on our certified hardware list. If either your product or Retail Pro® solutions experience material changes to their version(s), then the product will have to be recertified for the specific version.
Products that are certified and listed on our certified product list must remain in the possession of RPI for the duration of the certification/listing. The reason for this is to enable our technical support team to troubleshoot, in the RPI lab, any problems that arise.
Products are tested and certified for basic/fundamental/commonly used Retail Pro® functionality. In other words, a certified product may support additional capabilities that are not intrinsically supported by Retail Pro®. Unless a statement of work (SOW) for the additional capability(s) is prepared and accepted by both parties, no extended capabilities will be certified.
The certification process and associated fee assume that the product will operate with Retail Pro® products "out of the box" (i.e., without any development work or excessive setup/configuration required by Retail Pro® engineers). If any excessive (in our sole discretion) adjustments, setup/configuration, or any development work, is/are required then we will notify you and we will have to provide a SOW and quote for this additional work. You may then decide if you would like to proceed with the project. Please note that there will be a fee for the preparation of the SOW and quote. Please note that if this situation occurs (where additional work is required), and as a result you elect to abort the certification process, there will be a minimum fee of $500 assessed for the services already provided, prior to RPI returning your equipment.
Pricing will be provided based upon the completion of the form.
Shipping charges are in addition to any certification fees.
