Retail Pro reveals major plans for greater flexibility, improved TCO and real-time processing through the launch of "Aruba" at NRF

New York – January 11, 2010 – Retail Pro achieved a major milestone today launching phase 1 of project "Aruba" at the National Retailers Federation conference. "Aruba" is the internal project name that demonstrates Retail Pro's serious commitment to delivering products that are flexible to fit the unique needs of today's retailers while also lowering total cost of ownership as Aruba was designed to work within the current hardware and infrastructure of today's retailers.

Project Aruba marks the first step toward the next generation of Retail Pro software. The first release, scheduled to be completed later this year, calls for a thin-client architecture that can be easily deployed with reduced hardware or infrastructure requirements that can be seamlessly integrated with existing versions of Retail Pro. The ultimate vision provides the power of choice for customers by creating a solution that can be deployed either on-premise or in the cloud via SaaS deployment to deliver what customers want: ease of use, reduced acquisition and maintenance costs, faster deployment and real-time data.
